Vice President Harris Meets with Ukrainian Refugees

Gets first-hand input on how best to help Ukrainians.

On Thursday, Vice President Harris met with seven Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw, Poland. The diverse group was joined by a translator so they could tell Harris their experiences fleeing their country during Russian attacks. Harris hopes that these first-hand accounts will help inform near-future policies for how best to help Ukrainian refugees.

“You’ve been through so much. And the people at this table represent well over a million people,” the vice president said. “The conversation we will have this afternoon will help inform the president of the United States and the American people about what you have experienced so we can best support you and your family,” she stated.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the vice president to seek God’s direction as she represents the U.S. to foreign diplomats and heads of state.
  • For wisdom for the president and his administration as they admit Ukrainian refugees to the U.S.
  • For State Department officials as they collaborate in resettling Ukraine citizens displaced by the Russian invasion.
